A Pretty Amazing Day = Seeing a Sloth

So I asked to see a sloth and we saw one!!!!  Before we set off on our trek to the waterfall someone stopped to tell us there was a sloth in the road.  No joke a sloth was on the ground right by the side of the road.  One of our talented guides stopped and petted it and then helped it find a branch to climb up.  It was one of the most phenomenal animal sightings I’ve ever had!!! 

We stopped for fresh star fruit and oranges, like from a tree, and then set out on the “trail.”  Gabby actually held her own this year.  Apparently if you just keep handing her fruit to eat while she walks then she doesn’t complain about being tired.  The waterfall was no less impressive even though we’d been there last year.  I actually got to look over the edge this year.  The walk to the bottom is just crazy.  It’s not a long walk, but it is incredibly steep.  This year everyone went in and it was pretty chilly.  Dan scaled some of the sides and he and David impressed everyone with their graceful dives off the rocks.  Then we had to climb back.  Lottie kept singing a song to herself about holding on tight to mommy’s back ;p  Gabby got a short ride on Freddy’s shoulders up the steepest parts.  It was incredible!  PURA VIDA!!!!
